Take A Hike is a member of the Healthy Parks, Healthy People Bay Area collaborative of Bay Area park agencies encouraging Bay Area residents to explore parks while improving their mental and physical health.
Outdoor exercise news: A recent study conducted by researchers at Stanford University found that the benefits of walking in nature go beyond those of physical exercise. Take A Hike begins at 9am at the designated start location—look for the Take A Hike signs. After warm-up exercises, we start hiking at approximately 9:15am. With the exception of July, all hikes occur on the first Saturday of each month, March through November.
