Commemorative Benches & Picnic Tables

San Mateo County Department of Parks is pleased to offer you an opportunity to donate funds for a commemorative bench or picnic table in a County Park, Historic Site or Regional Trail. You are invited to honor, memorialize or thank a friend, family member, or colleague with the dedication of a commemorative facility in one of the County’s beautiful parks.
Every County Park, Historic Site, and Regional Trail has a list of approved sites for benches and picnic tables. We would be glad to share these locations with you.
County Parks will purchase and install a bench or picnic table for you. A 3” x 12 ¼” plaque with up to several lines of text will be inlaid into a bench or table board. The bench or table can be dedicated for a ten- or twenty-year period. A minimum donation of $5,000 is needed to dedicate a bench or table for ten years and $8,500 for twenty years. If you have dedicated a bench or table for ten years, we will then contact you about re-dedication for another ten years for an additional fee. Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent allowable by law.
