Introduction to Ohlone
The Ohlone are the Indigenous people of the Bay Area living in the region of San Francisco Bay down to the Monterey Bay. The Ohlone lived here thousands of years ago and descendants of those Ohlone still live in this area today. Ohlone is a broad term used to describe many smaller tribes that inhabited the region we now call the Bay Area. These different groups had different languages but similar ways of life.
