Dog Policy Recommendations to be Presented to Parks Commission

The Dog Management Committee will present its policy recommendations to the San Mateo County Parks and Recreation Commission at its December 7 meeting beginning at 4pm at 400 County Center.
Committee members were appointed by the Commission of 2016 to advise the Commission as it seeks to develop dog management policies for San Mateo County Parks. The committee has been meeting since spring of 2016 once a month with all meetings open to the public.
The Committee will ask the Commission to accept the overarching policy and 10 secondary policy recommendations that are intended to guide the Parks Department in evaluating park locations for dog access. The Parks and Recreation Commission meets in the San Mateo County Board of Supervisor Chambers located at 400 County Center, First Floor. The public is invited to attend the meeting and provide comments on the recommendations.
