Coyote Point Promenade

Wednesday, April 28, 2021

On Monday, May 3, construction commences on the Eastern Promenade Rejuvenation Project at Coyote Point Recreation Area. This is the main construction phase of a redesign project that will bring improved beach access, a re-located restroom, a re-configured parking area, and a new sandy beach shaped as a crenulate bay and adaptable to climate change. During construction, entry to the parking lots north of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Training Center parking lot and the Knoll parking lot will be closed. The Bluff Trail will be closed about 1,500 ft from the entrance at the Marina down to the construction area. A detour will be in place to guide hikers around the work area. Park visitors should expect heavy trucks and other vehicles in the park, Monday through Friday. See a map of the closed area »

Construction is expected to last through February 2022.
