The process of creating the master plan for Quarry Park and Mirada Surf continued at Community Meeting #5, held on April 24, 2018 at El Granada School. The meeting provided another opportunity for park users to share their comments related to elements of the plan contained in the draft document. The presentation used at this meeting is posted under project documents.
The next steps were to share the Draft Master Plan document with the public beginning early May 2018. Please refer to the new project timeline included on this page.

Community Meeting #4, held on October 3, 2017 at El Granada School, was well attended and garnered ideas as well as concerns that had not been heard at earlier meetings. This prompted the Parks Department to consider holding a follow up community meeting to ensure a diversity of thoughts and interests are reflected in the Quarry Park Master Plan. As soon as a decision is made about an additional community meeting, information will be posted on this site and an email will be sent to those who have asked to be on the project’s notification list.
