Bicycle Sunday Canceled on Easter Sunday 2024
For holiday weekends in 2024, Bicycle Sunday, the weekly event that allows for non-motorized use of Cañada Road along Crystal Springs Regional Trail, will be canceled to meet the increased holiday needs for staffing at other parks in the area. Bicyclists and motorists, please be mindful to share the road.
Expect Quarry Park Pump Track Closure During Wet Weather
The pump track is open, but will close during rain and until the track surface thoroughly dries out.
Crystal Springs Regional Trail Closures
North portion of the Sawyer Camp segment closed March 22. San Andreas Segment closed, April 3-4.
Junipero Serra Park Closures
See trail and area closures including Big Slides in the Meadow View playground and restricted vehicle access on March 12.
San Bruno Mountain Park Intermittent Trail Closures
San Bruno Mountain Park intermittent trail closures for invasive plant management, February 8–April 1.
Edgewood Park Trail Closures
March 18-29, intermittent closures to Edgewood Trail, Sylvan Trail, and Baywood Glen Trail for invasive plant management.
Mirada Surf East Closed
Mirada Surf East is currently closed while contractors remove hazardous trees in the area.
Pescadero Creek Park Trail Closures
The area south and west of the park, which was burned by the CZU Lightning Complex Fire, remains closed. Other trails remain closed due to storm damage.
Wunderlich Park Trail Closures
Alambique Trail between trail markers 17 and 21 is closed for equestrian use until further notice.
Huddart Park Closures
Some trails remain closed due to damage from winter storms. Toyon Campground are closed and without water. Werder Playground is closed for construction.
Quarry Park Open, Use Caution
Quarry Park has reopened following heavy winds and rain. For your safety please remain clear of large equipment and areas where staff are working to clear fallen trees.
Memorial Park Open for Day Use Only
Memorial Park is currently open for day visitation only. Overnight camping is not allowed due to flooding and fallen trees from recent severe weather.

No Ramp Access to Tidepools at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve
Until the ramp is replaced, please use caution when using the stairs to access the tidepools and beach.
Coyote Point Open, Some Areas Closed
Coyote Point Recreation Area has reopened after being fully closed due effects of last weekend's storm. Areas within the park are still closed while the fallen trees are being cleared.

Use Caution on Beaches and Bluffs
Wet weather can cause bluffs to become unstable. Visitors should remain clear of the bluff edge and should not walk on the beach directly below bluffs.
Memorial Campsite Reservations for July 10-13 Temporarily on Hold
Campsite reservations at Memorial County Park for July 10–13 are on hold until the Department finalizes its centennial celebration plans in the upcoming weeks.
Flood Park Playground Remains Closed
Safety inspections show need to replace some play structure parts.
Huddart Park Forest Health Work Update
Crews have returned to Huddart Park to follow up on forest health work performed last November and December near the park entrance. Trails slated for closure include Redwood Nature Trail, and Bay Tree Trail.
Parking Lot Safety
Park staff patrol parking lots, but taking your own precautions against theft is always advised. Familiarize yourself with precautions you can take to protect your valuables and vehicle.
Be Aware Of Illegal Trails
The Department has observed and received reports of numerous trails in Quarry Park that have been built without permission and therefore are not according to Department trail standards. In addition, signage made to appear as formal Department signs have been nailed to trees.
Avoid Ticks
Ticks are parasitic arachnids that wait in vegetation or on rocks or logs for an animal or human to brush up against them. Once contact is made the tick will attach to its host by anchoring into the skin using hook-like mouthparts. Ticks may carry diseases transmittable to humans such as Lyme Disease and should be avoided.
