Please Note - The Parks Department Main Office is currently closed, preventing in-person or phone transactions. Please order your park pass online or by mail.

Why buy a park pass?

With a San Mateo County Park Pass you can explore and enjoy 22 park locations as often as you'd like for a single modest fee. The pass provides 12 months of entry to a County park without having to pay each time you visit. You can bring a carful of friends and relatives with you into the park at no additional charge with your pass. You can go to any park, any day, at any open time for an entire year.

Who may purchase a park pass?

Anyone can purchase a pass. You do not need to be a San Mateo County resident. You can also give the pass as a gift to allow others to enjoy and appreciate the amazing locations from bay to coast that are part of the San Mateo County Park system.

How does a park pass work and how do I get one?

The pass is good for 12 months from the date of purchase and waives the vehicle entry fee, allowing the pass-holder to easily enter the park. Other park usage fees, such as picnic and camping reservations, are not covered by a park pass. You, or the person you designate as the pass-holder, will receive the pass in the mail within 14 days of purchase. The pass is non-replaceable.
