Halfway between Half Moon Bay and Pescadero, where the waters from King's Mountain reach the Pacific Ocean, lies Tunitas Creek Beach. Waters from Tunitas Creek run onto the broad, sandy beach. To the north stands an iconic sandstone cliff.

Tunitas Creek Beach currently has no facilities and is only accessible via a steep, eroded trail on the property or through the environmentally sensitive Tunitas Creek corridor.

No dogs or other pets are allowed on Tunitas Creek Beach. See more park Regulations »

Planning for the Future of Tunitas Creek Beach

Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) and San Mateo County Parks are partnering to improve Tunitas Creek Beach over a three-year period in order to provide safe public access to the beach as a County Park. Protection and management of the property are expected to cost the County an additional $10 million dollars over ten years.
